Abstract

In the networking world, security is a big concern as the data flowing through these networks is of high sensitivity. Many different types of attacks persist. Man in Middle attack, Phishing attack, Eavesdropping attack, Spoofing attack, Denial of Service attack, Distributed Denial of Service attacks etc. are to name a few. Out of these, DoS attacks primarily target enterprises in order to render their servers useless by transferring huge number of requests in a small timeframe. Although many existing tools and devices are available that detects and blocks such attacks but no router level technique is available. In this paper we are using the improved RIPng protocol which uses densities information to prevent DoS attacks
